Walk by Choice, Not By Fate.
Walk by Choice, Not By Fate.

You’ve probably seen it now. If not, you’re probably missing half of your life because it created its own sizzle before and after it was published.
I am referring to the print ad of Bench for the Philippine Rugby Team “The Volcanoes”
(See Image Below)

It’s not new for everyone of us. When you go to the mall, you would see some large prints of those Guys wearing undies promoting for Bench or if you’ve been to Guadalupe or regularly passes by Guadalupe via MRT you would definitely see it or if you frequently login to Facebook and or Twitter this has been and ongoing flick among Girls, Beckys and even Boys.
It’s an eye catching, mind whopping billboard according to a friend. A Friend who happens to be a Becky.
When I first saw it. On a “Mans Perspective” Which I would like to quote. All I can say is “They’re better than Azkals”.
Seriously, they are better than the football team in terms of everything. Enough said. That’s not the point of me blogging about it.
My whole dilemma about this situation is that, this is the first time I’ve heard and seen The Volcanoes. Apparently, they been playing for our country for quite some time now which is amazing because they’ve even brought recognitions.
As I blog about it. The Billboard which I am referring to in Guadalupe has been removed.
Reason: According to some people or should I say politicians who passes by. Its obscene and it’s so revealing that they had to cover their children’s eyes not to see it so they had to remove it.
WTH is that for a reason?
Let me break it down for those people piece per piece.
1. Given. That billboard is kind of obscene and big enough to be posted on that section. But, I can safely say that it’s not the first billboard to be posted along EDSA which tackles the same product.
2. There are other Billboards on EDSA which happens to be Modeled by Females. Why target the Billboard of Volcanoes? Does this mean that its more pleasing to see Girls on Two piece rather than guys wearing underwear’s?
3. Most of the people who filed a complaint are Male. Does this mean that we’re getting insecure on The Volcanoes? I mean, come on. That’s a freaking underwear that they endorse and they should be good enough to endorse the product credible enough.
And the most important thing above all is that, It’s just print ads. Seeing it every day will be a bit of a problem. But come to think of it, there’s a bigger picture that needs to be fix. A bare billboard wouldn’t suffice to lessen prostitution in the country.
What I can suggest to those people who feels that they are good on what they are doing is to go to Quezon Avenue. That situation right there needs more attention rather than removing a Billboard along EDSA. One reason why our country is not growing is because we tend to do things which is UNNECESSARY, things which would affect us Personally, not for everyone’s good. If we count the people who would be satisfied by what they did about the billboard, we will end up coming up short, because the mentality of the people now a days is bigger that these low life authorities think.
It’s time for these people to step up and do something that would impress us not to depress us.
It’s just a shame to know that this is happening to our country. There are more problems that needs attention rather than dealing with this.
I guess if they focus on those problems that needs more attention, we could probably grow more as a country.
That’s just my point of view. I may be right and I may be wrong.
